The Bees recognize that not everyone is looking for an entire home remodel or an addition. Instead, some of our clients just need a little help. Take kitchens for example: you may be ready to take on a complete refresh of your kitchen and you may already have a contractor on board. But you’re overwhelmed by the design choices. We hear you! This is why we offer “Design Day” packages.
Kitchen or Bath Designer For a Day services provides you with expert guidance from us, your Interior Design Partner. We spend 6 hours helping you with parts of the project that you may find especially overwhelming and to help you avoid making costly mistakes; including:
Selecting finishes
Reviewing design plans and layout
Sourcing plumbing/light fixtures and or appliances
Meeting with kitchen /cabinet company and/or trade
During our day together we can assist you in choosing all the main finishes of the kitchen. At the end of our time together you can expect to have recommendations for:
Cabinetry style and finish
Hardware
Countertop and profile selections
Backsplash & Grout
Paint / Wall Finishes
Lighting such as pendants, sconces, chandeliers and lamps
With our expertise and knowledge, you can feel confident knowing that you have us by your side to assist you in choosing some of the most important key elements for your kitchen design.
Need a little more guidance? You can add extra packages including:
Flooring options such as hardwood, tile and luxury vinyl
Meet at an appliance showroom to review your needs
Meet at a plumbing showroom to assist you with selections
Review your cabinetry plans and look for flow, fit and it meets your storage/ personal needs
You get one of our Buzzy Bees for the full 6 hours. To make the most of our time, we pre-plan a schedule based on the goals of your project. Every project is a little different. The hours can be used in one full or day or separated in two half days. We spend our time meeting in both your home and local showrooms as needed. In advance of our meeting our team will prepare necessary samples, finishes and research based on the questionnaire you fill out.
9:00: Meet at your home or our office to review scheduled day and grab coffee
9:30: Kitchen showroom: Countertop, cabinet details - style/color (borrow any necessary samples)
11:00: Suppliers: Flooring, backsplash, grout and paint selections
12:30: Suppliers: Plumbing fixtures - sink and faucet
1:30: Suppliers: Pendant lighting
2:30: Head back to client’s home or our office
3:00: Wrap up the day
We require 100% payment up front to confirm your booking in our schedule. The service is available for LINK conveniently by credit card.
After purchasing you'll use our calendar tool to schedule your appointment. The service can be rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance. Cancellations or appointment requests with less than 48 hours may not be accommodated.
While we always strive to be the most efficient with our time, depending on the size of your project; your specific needs; and how swift you are at making decisions, you may wish to hire our services for another day. That is no problem!
We can definitely book and plan the agenda for a second day to ensure you feel confident in all the decisions you need to make.
